Eingeteilt der Geb. F.Bat. 40 mit Pferd nahm vor hundert Jahren an der Grenzbesetzung 
der Schweizer Armee im 1915 teil.

Sie verlegten in einer grossen Bataillons - Übung vom Jura ins Tessin, sei es
Füsiliere, Artillerie, Infanterie, Mitrailleure, Dragoner, Telegraphen-Pionier,
Divisionsbrückentrain 3, Sappeur – Bataillons 3,Artillerie – Park – Kompanie, Haubitzen
Lastwagen – Kolone 27, Gebirgs – Infanterie Brigade 9,
Sanität – Kompanie III/3, Verpflegungskompanie I/3,
Kommandanten, Feldprediger.

Jeder Soldat bekam einen Siegelring mit Initialen,
Buch mit persönlichen Widmung des Einheitskommandanten der Geb. J. Bat. 40Major Wirth,
sowie des Kommandanten der 3. Division: Wildbolz
